The memory of our revered father Abraham of Chukhlom, the Galician miracle worker

This reverend father of ours, from a young age filled with love for God, came to the great Sergius the miracle worker [This was the reverend Sergius, the famous founder of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra near Moscow. His memory is celebrated on September 25.] and received from him a pagan haircut.

For his virtuous life, he was awarded the priestly rank, after which he began to devote himself even more diligently to monastic exploits.

Having known in advance the time of his departure to God, the monk summoned the brothers of his monastery, taught them for their spiritual benefit, received the Body and Blood of Christ and in 1375 on the 20th day of the month of July he went to the eternal monasteries.
