The figures below come from a household tested on the owner's own family. They are defaults, not truth: correct each one for your own place.

The larger of the two is taken: your own calculation and the lived model. To err on the high side is to lose part of a harvest; on the low side, to go hungry.
It is the animals that eat the land, not the plants — nearly all the area goes to them.
