The memory of the holy martyrs Erma, Serapion and Polyene

These holy martyrs were denounced by the heathen as venerating Christ, while they abhorred and despised idols. As a result, they were seized and, before the Roman bishopric, boldly confessed their faith in Christ. For this they were first imprisoned in a stinking prison, and then brought out of it, but they did not wish to offer sacrifice to idols. Therefore, their power became impassable in narrow and impassable places, and they, hitting the same stone, betrayed their honest souls to God, perceiving eternal bliss where the dwelling of the holy martyrs is located.
